You’ve read the web site ads or attended the psychic fair. You are attracted to the Angel Readers and think you’d like to have a reading from one of them. You mentally figure out the number of minutes you’d like to hire them to work and multiply it by the rate they charge. You’re ready to call and pick the phone up. You double check the number and begin to dial. But wait! Are you really ready to have an in-depth reading? Ask yourself these 5 super important questions to make sure!
1. Am I willing to hear what the reader has to say or do I want her to simply agree with me?
A common comment people who are not ready for an in-depth reading make when they call is, “I don’t want to hear anything new about this. I only called to hear you verify that what I already know about it is true.” Well, what if it’s not? What if that guy you just “know” is your soul mate turns out to be a louse or is really just not that interested in you? What will you do if the reader tells you something such as that? If you think you’d tell her you’re disappointed in the reading because she didn’t agree with you are you truly ready to have one?
2. What do I want from the reading?
Am I looking for the entertainment of the reader delivering a monologue full of creations and fabrications or am I looking for real insight into my life? Plan on keeping your end of the bargain and be prepared to be part of a conversation. People who just sit there silently as if to say, “I paid my money, now read me,” only get out of it as much as they put into it.
3. Am I willing to be “shaken up” a bit?
What if I hear something surprising and unexpected? What will I do then? A good reader will give you new information and new ways to think of things. Some of that might just surprise you.
4. Am I calling the reader in order to test her or do I really feel she’s legitimate?
Am I calling to debunk the reader or do I really want to get to the bottom of things that concern me?
5. What is it I want to know that I haven’t been able to figure out?
Can I make a list of questions to ask so my time is used wisely and my money well spent? Are there enough things in my life to ask about to make a longer reading truly worth my money or do I only need a few minutes time? Do I stay on the surface level of things or am I prepared to delve more deeply into my life?
6. Am I more concerned with the fee I’ll have to pay or with the quality of the reading?
Am I hiring the very best Angel Reader I can afford? Am I willing to wait a bit if I have to and save my money in order to hire a top-notch reader with a great reputation and lots of references I can check who uses her own name and gives me her real address and phone number? Will I hire an Angel Reader who is easy to find again and contact if I have a follow-up question or comment? Will I hire someone who does this for her career?

When you’re frustrated and feel you’ve tried almost everything you can think of to achieve some respite from the simple, everyday irritations that occur between you and your spouse or significant other, consider having an Angel Reading. Here are 5 ways to use a reading to your best advantage.
1. Ask specific questions.
Explain the situation to the reader and stick to actual facts. Allow the Angels to assist in interpreting those facts. Don’t omit something because you’re embarrassed and leave holes in the story. The Angels never judge. They welcome you with open arms and great compassion. Anything you’re going through is treated in a loving and kind manner. Everything you have to say is listened to and honored.
2. Try to leave your emotions out of it.
I know it’s difficult, but try. When women discuss the men in their lives during readings they, understandably, speak from their hearts. Their emotions have often embellished the facts and woven dreams and desires and hopes into it. It’s far easier, during an Angel Reading, to get clear insight into the relationship if emotions are not running wild.
3. Remember that the reader, while a compassionate and caring guide, probably just met you and has no stake in the out come of the events of your relationship issues.
She is, therefore, able to give you honest answers from the Angels. If they’re not the answers you want to hear, be willing to give it some thought. Don’t jump down her throat and tell her she’s wrong and that the reading is a failure because you “just know” better. If you already know the answers, you certainly don’t need to hire someone to do a reading for you. The Angels allow you to speak freely. Please allow them the same.
4. Be willing to see the events of the relationship in a new light.
The Angels see us from their own perspective and often present an entirely new way to look at things. Be open minded and willing to look at things from a different angle. Even if you don’t immediately agree with what they say, their suggestions might just lead you to develop new ideas for the relationship on your own.
5. Take the focus off him and what he’s doing and put it onto your self.
When the Angels discuss you and your needs, be willing to do so. Learning how to meet your own needs takes the pressure off him and off the relationship. It allows you to stand in your own power and give yourself that which you want and need. It encourages you to create your future for yourself and include him in that future.
Focusing on these things during your reading will certainly help you to come to a better understanding of just why he is “making you crazy” and give you lots of new ideas for appropriate next steps. It goes like this. Someone hires a reader for a psychic session. The reader tells them all sorts of things and the listener believes everything they hear. Later, when they discover they’ve been hoodwinked and find that the reader won’t answer their calls or respond to their letters, they send an email to me. It too, goes something like this. “Catherine, she said I was abducted by aliens and have implants, am I going crazy?” “Catherine, she said I’d meet the love of my life on the 15th of last month and it hasn’t happened. Why not?” or “Catherine, she said he was my soul mate but she won’t tell me why he’s dating someone else. I’m afraid the new girlfriend is using witchcraft on him.” Lest you experience something similar, read these tips.
1. Don’t hire amateur readers.
If you use a 900 number or an online psychic service with hundreds of readers, it’s a good chance you did. If you hired somebody who went by the online pseudonym of “Lady Oracle” or something equally as “fascinating” you probably didn’t hire anybody with any honesty or expertise. Stay away from those seeking to make a quick buck. A reader who hides behind a pseudonym and doesn’t even use her real name probably won’t stand behind what they say. They know they’re anonymous so they’ll say anything, positive or negative, they think you want to hear. They’ll play on your fears and repeat the standard nonsense lines. If you’re smart enough not to fall for that, hire only reputable readers who have an established, verifiable business. Hire those who have written books and articles and have staked their careers and reputations on their honest ability.
2. Don’t listen to anything that’s just too weird.
Put a stop to any call that tells you things that scare you or cause you to feel threatened. If she tells you you were abducted by aliens and now have implants that cause your nerves to feel as though they will destroy you, are demonically possessed or some other nasty thing, recognize it for the scam it is. Don’t be surprised when they tell you there will be an additional charge for them to magically make it all disappear too. They’ll remove the implant, dispossess you, reverse the alien surgery, or exorcise the devil if you only open your wallet again. You’re smarter than that. Hire a licensed social worker or psychologist if you truly feel you would like to talk with one to clear up the damage the liar readers have done. If you’re not damaged, but just really ticked, hire an experienced, reputable Angel reader.
3. Let your “red flags” go up when they tell you something you long for will happen at a certain time or on a certain date.
I can’t tell you the number of people who have contacted me, filled with disappointment because something a reader predicted didn’t come true. They called or wrote the reader back but the reader won’t talk with them any more. One woman who contacted me said that upon being told during a reading that she was going to come into a huge sum of money, she quit her job. A few months later, when her savings had been all used up, she called me to find out why the reader had told her that! My question to her was, why, although she’d hoped it would come true and truly thought she could believe what she’d been told, had she given her own power over to somebody else’s opinion. She said she’d believed in the reader’s ability so strongly that she never even questioned its veracity.
I find it interesting that it rarely occurs to these people that the reader didn’t know beans about what they were saying in the first place. They, understandably, feel hoodwinked and are embarrassed. If you hear specific dates and times, be wary and get out of that conversation or at least don’t take the promises to heart.
4. If they agree with everything that you say, stop and think.
If all you hear is how great you are and that your Angel is from a particular order or hierarchy, it’s nice but you’re not receiving much usable new knowledge. A real reading gives you new insights into your life, new information about your particular Angel, and specific tasks to work on which I like to call “homework assignments.” If a reader tells you everything’s perfect but doesn’t tell you anything about just how the Angel is guiding you towards even greater joys or that the Angels has brought up several things she wants to discuss with you, did the reader give you a reading worth paying for?
5. At the beginning of the session, ask the reader how and when you may contact them in the future should you have any follow-up questions.
Tell her that you understand that a follow-up question does not entitle you to a free reading, but that you’d like to have her explain things to you if something she promised doesn’t occur. If she would rather fade into the mystical ether or hide under a new pseudonym or ignore you, immediately understand that your question or situation is beyond her ability and ask her to refer you to someone who is able to answer questions such as yours with integrity and honesty.
