Dowsing is a method for accessing intuitive knowledge and information through the use of a pendulum. In dowsing, we ask questions of our Higher Self, the part of us that is pure spirit, and thus infinitely wise. Depending on how you program it, your pendulum will give you answers by swinging in certain directions to tell you “yes,” “no,” or “undecided.”

Dowsing is very clear to read. Unlike the tarot, which depends heavily on the interpretation of the reader, dowsing is a method that really doesn’t offer much room for interpretation. The true advantage of dowsing is that it allows you to get a clear sense of your own intuitive knowledge. As you continue dowsing, you will over time start to receive the answers before the pendulum even swings. You will get a “yes” or “no” or “maybe” in whatever way your intuitive perception works. Some people hear the answers. Others develop a feel for the energetic quality of a “yes” or “no.” Others again see the words flash in their minds. For many, it is a combination of things. It really depends on whether you are best suited to receiving intuitive information through an auditory, visual or kinesthetic channel.

A pendulum allows you to get crystal clear answers through an external source so that you can develop a trust in the validity of the information. You know that you are not simply making up the answers! Before long, you will develop a keen sense of how your inner guidance system works. And, let’s face it, sometimes we are heavily invested in the answers to certain questions. Unless you are consciously moving your hand or arm, it is hard to misinterpret or influence the answers you get from your pendulum.

The pendulum is the external starting point. As you use it more and more, your focus will shift towards your internal receptors for intuitive information. However, as a good place to start, nothing beats learning to dowse!

All answers from your pendulum really come from your superconscious - from your Higher Self. Your Higher Self is your Soul self. It is the ancient, infinitely wise part of you that was directly created from Source. Your Higher Self is not limited to this present incarnation. It has access to all your lifetimes, past, present and future. It spans dimensions, time and space. Your Higher Self is pure Spirit. This is where the information really comes from.

When you dowse, your Higher Self will connect to your subconscious. This is what actually creates the movement of the pendulum. Consciously, you will not be aware of creating any movement in the pendulum whatsoever. It really is a wonderful thing to watch your pendulum swinging of its own accord! You would swear that you are holding your hand absolutely still, but in truth, your subconscious is creating the subtle movements that create the swing of the pendulum.

This link between your Higher Self and your subconscious is not one you need to concern yourself with. In fact, it is better to leave it alone - just know that your superconscious is linking to your subconscious in order to send clear information to your conscious self via the pendulum. Dowsing beautifully integrates the trinity of your subconscious, conscious and superconscious so that the information that is generated is perceived by your whole being.

Once you’ve used your pendulum for a while, you will start to know whether a “yes” or “no” is coming before the pendulum even really gets going. Pay close attention to how you perceive these answers internally. Do they have a special “feel” to them? Do words flash into your brain? Do you hear words? Or do you see answers in front of you? Start tuning in to your special way of receiving intuitive information internally.

One day, you will probably suddenly get an answer that is far more informative than yes or no. I will never forget the day when I was just looking for a yes or no - and my client’s entire soul story popped into my head. As you start flexing your intuitive muscle, you will start receiving more information. Pretty soon, information will come to you freely. You can then still use your pendulum to confirm that your perceived answer or information is indeed correct.

Everyone is intuitive. The more you practice, the more your intuition will be available to you. Dowsing with a pendulum is a wonderful way of unlocking your intuitive gifts.

This is a question I have asked myself many times over in my daily goings on and one that I have a hard time articulating when asked what it is that I do. And why should that be you might ask? Well for one, I did not attend any school, college or university to learn the skills of “intuitive healing” that I have acquired for the healing work that I do. I do not have any certificates or titles which declare that I am a “qualified” intuitive healing practitioner. How I attained these “intuitive” abilities is an unexplained phenomenon which I have stopped trying to make sense of. I have just simply accepted that I have an innate ability to sense and feel people’s issues and I am intuitively guided to the areas where people are experiencing physical or emotional problems. I also accept that the visualizations, and energy work that I am guided to perform is strictly intuitive.

As time goes on, this ability to “intuitively” know what to do continues to expand. From purely guiding people to run energy through their bodies, I have been directed to incorporate the use of color imagery, crystals, aroma and tonal sounds that just vibrate outward from my vocal chords. Again, where this know-how comes from is a mystery, but I do feel the power of all of these elements working together. It never ceases to amaze me that no matter how much my knowledge base keeps evolving, and how many clients I have worked on, there are never two healing sessions which are quite the same. What transpires in each healing session seems to be as unique and special as the individual I am working on.

The concept of intuitive spiritual healing done as distant healing also has me fascinated and puzzled to say the least. I have found the more distant healing sessions I carry out, the more I experience the power behind this ability. Again the question arises, what is it that I do, where has this knowledge come from and, is what I am doing really taking effect? My clients certainly feel that it does, and for all intents and purposes I completely feel the release in my own body when I finish a healing session, therefore I believe, that yes, even though I may not understand it, what I do is absolutely taking affect at some level.

So why Intuitive “Spiritual” Healing? I would have to say that the word spirituality to me, means something bigger or greater than myself. This is not a tangible knowledge base that I have been exposed to and learned from by going to a school or university, nor is it self taught by reading books, to me this is a creative process of tapping into a source beyond my comprehension, it is the mysticism of holiness and consequently for me spiritual in nature.

So what is an Intuitive Spiritual Healer? - I believe it is a person who completely trusts and surrenders to the goodness of the great unknown. I believe it is a person with complete faith, who acts as a channel to facilitate the flow of universal healing energies:
