Two gentlemen in their senior years were setting at the restaurant table talking about current events and life back in the ‘good old days’. The gentlemen, dressed casually in what was probably their favorite attire, bore the markings of age. Their hair of white and lines from years of learning about life adorned both men, but they still had the gleam of life twinkling in their eyes. As they continued to sip their coffee, one of the men began to share his thoughts about a subject heard quite often in a conversation. At the end of his thoughts, he made the statement ‘well one thing is for sure and that is death and taxes’. As the other nodded in approval, he picked up his coffee with a hand that shown the wrinkles of many years of labor. After a sip of his coffee, the gentleman looked at his old friend and commented
“Well old friend, you can’t take it with you”.
I begin to think about how we tend to hold things of material value so dearly. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the nice things in life as most of us do. There are times when it even creates a point of envy, such as a friend purchasing a new automobile or a fine home. We tend to define this as being or not being as fortunate. The older gentleman’s statement does appear to have substance. All through our life’s plan we accumulate the material gifts that we are blessed with. We begin at birth with a simple rattle or bottle given as gifts from the love of a family member. The material gifts continue to blossom as we grow, from bicycles and baseball cards to doll houses and stuffed animals. Soon one becomes an adult, working toward the rewards of a new automobile or a fine home. The adult soon are giving to their little ones the material gifts of a simple rattle, a bicycle, or a doll house.
The material gifts will also be lost along the way as we continue to accumulate. Many of us no longer have our rattle given to us at birth, or even the bicycle. Our first automobile is a memory in a photograph, and the reward of a fine home may have been sold. Throughout life one accumulates material gifts, will lose material gifts, and once again accumulate material gifts. No matter how much one accumulates in material gifts one thing is for sure -
‘You can’t take it with you’.
But let’s think about this for a moment, there appears to be a gift that you can ‘take it with you’. The gift is given to us before our first baby bottle or rattles. The gift appears to flourish within us upon our first breath of life’s earthly plan and retain this gift apparently in life-everlasting. In fact, the gift actually grows upon completing the earthly plan far more than one can comprehend. It is the gift of love.I guess this is the reason when a loved one who has moved on (some define this as crossing over) acknowledges their presence; they never share how they wished they would have taken a material gift with them, but rather the inspirational love that the spiritual energy has within. As the two older gentleman continued to discuss other topics and drink their coffee, I smiled and thought
“Old friends, you can take something with you.”

Imagine this you’re all alone in a huge old mansion. You know the sort, huge iron gates, long driveway, creaking doors. Its dark. Pitch black in fact, and as far as you’re aware its now completely uninhabited. You approach the front door. Leaves all over the steps, cobwebs hanging from the door handle, paint peeling off the door.
You get a whiff of the most pungent smell you’ve ever encountered. Putrid, malodorous, reeking smell. Just how long has this place been left like this? Stop! And think for a minute. How do you feel? You’ve no reason to feel scared have you?
Welcome to the haunted world of ghosts, spirits and paranormal activity.
Here you are in this old house, which is not a very pleasant environment. What possible reason is there to feel frightened?
You don’t believe in ghosts, do you?
You’re confident, fearless, dare I say dauntless.
You’re intelligent, far too worldly wise, in fact much too perspicacious to be taken in by such a spurious argument.
After all, what evidence is there that proves ghosts do exist, and they are the disembodied spirit of a dead person? That is they show the conscious energy left over from a living person after they have died. The evidence to prove or disprove is certainly not conclusive from either perspective.
Many people report physical changes in haunted places, often a feeling of presence accompanied by a temperature drop and hearing unaccountable sounds.
Some claim it is possible to receive communication from a dead person. That communication can be a sudden feeling of sadness when you enter a room. It could also be sudden thoughts that come into your mind as a form of communication.
Here you are on a mission To prove or disprove the existence of ghosts. There are many things you could try, such as a s

Psychic abilities such as postcognition, psychometry, telepathy and physical/mental mediumship are all branches of a broader subject known as Parapsychology. People with psychic abilities are claimed to affect or retrieve information through a channel that does not belong within the scope of conventional or mainstream science. The credibility of such claims has been vehemently questioned by many, due to lack of evidence but its existence, however absurd it may seem, cannot be simply discarded because of the deep roots Parapsychology has in history and culture.
Anomalous Cognition:
These are the two types of psychic abilities or Parapsychology - Anomalous Cognition and Anomalous Operation. Anomalous Cognition may also be known as Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) and includes:
Telepathy: is the ability to communicate information mentally from one person to another, without using any physical signs and other aids.
Precognition: is the ability to perceive information and predict future events before they actually happen. This information is achieved by a special mental ability and not deductive reasoning.
Postcognition or Retrocognition: is the ability to achieve information about events that has already occurred which are usually unknown by others. For example, “psychic detectives” claim to use this method to detect possible murderers.
Psychometry: is another form of postcognition which enables a person to achieve information about events that had already occurred by being in close contact with the area or object where the event took place.
Clairvoyance: is the ability to perceive distant objects, persons, or events. Sometimes clairvoyants may claim to have the ability to see through opaque structures like brick walls, and perceive unseen energy such as radio waves. Subtypes include clairaudience, clairalience, clairgustance, and clairsentience.
Anomalous Operation:
Anomalous Operation, simply put, is communication by paranormal means. The different types of Anomalous Operation are closely related which include:
Psychokinesis: or telekinesis or remote influencing is the ability to move physical objects and influence the behavior of matter mentally without the aid of any other devices.
Out-of-body experience (OBE): is the ability to separate one’s physical body from the soul, spirit or mind. OBE is a common phenomenon and often linked to Near-death experiences, dreams, alcohol and drugs.
Astral Projection: is closely linked with Out-of-body experience. The astral body is a “double” of the real physical body but separated from it, moving freely on its own in the astral plane. Astral projection is also often linked with drugs, dreams and NDE’s.
Near-death experience (NDE): is one of the most common Out-of-body experiences. When some people who are proclaimed to be clinically dead are revived again, they relate experiences in which they travel out of their physical bodies and see their own dead bodies.
Mediumship: in which private s
